Nepal Banda is a popular word among the Nepali people. Nepal Banda means to stop to work. It means to stop the schools and colleges, to stop transport, to stop factories, etc. This is often called by the party wings or by the political parties themselves.
Nepali people do not need a serious case to call Nepal Banda. If students are forbidden to cheat in the examination, they may call Nepal Banda. In the same way, if a vehicle hits someone or something, they call for Nepal Banda.
When ever Nepal Banda is called, the organizers destroy the vehicles. They may attack the workers. No body can disobey their calls.
They do not care the loss such strike will cause. Even sometimes ill persons cannot get to hospitals. Students are injured and even sometimes, they may get time to misuse their time. So we should call ‘Banda’ of Banda
