Computer is an electronic machine. It was developed from calculator machine. We can not say what it does. But we should say’ what it can not do!’ It means computers are used in every field of our life.
Computer is popular among the learned persons and the students. You may work in any field today; you may be using a computer. We are grateful to Charles Babbage who invented such a useful thing for us.
Computers have some important parts. Monitor, mouse, the CPU or central processing unit or the brain of the computer are the major parts.
It is used in offices to keep records of the staff, account, make programmes, prepare letters and documents etc. It is used to design dress or to treat a sick person. It is used in schools and colleges to make class room teaching effective. So it is said, ‘Computer have become a part of life.’
Nowadays, the doctors use computer to treat a patient. If you talk about engineers, they can do nothing without it. Some persons may misuse it just to pass time and spreading evil information. So we must use it for the betterment of oneself and society being careful of its demerits.

democracy
The word democracy is popular in the field of politics. Abraham Lincoln said, “Democracy is to the people, by the people, for the people.” There is no autocrat or dictator in this political system. The rulers and people elect legislative members. They make rules to apply in the country. There is a system and the system rules every one.
We have many advantages in this system. No body can be a dictator. If any leader goes against the laws, they are punished. If the leaders act against national interest people can punish them. They can elect next leader in the election. This makes the leaders more responsible. So, they cannot go against the people.
Some say there are disadvantages. People may think they are free. There should be no control over people. They are the supreme power holders. So, their behaves may be seen undisciplined. Some political leaders may think of only the interest of their party members. But we can correct this slowly.

In common, drug means medicine. We need them when we are ill. But when someone uses medicine for non medical purpose, it is called drug addiction. This is an illegal use of medicine because it is used to affect the body. It is used orally, by injecting into the body and by means of smoke.
Drug addiction is a serious problem these days. Mainly the young people are found to be involved in drug addiction.
We can find many reasons behind it. But, bad friendship is the major cause. When a young boy or girl feels unloved, he/she is in tension. He/She may meet those addicted friends. Some times, they may like to show superiority to the ones of opposite sex.
Prevention is better than cure. So, it is better to stop our young children from this. For this, we should try to understand their problems. We should love them. It makes the young ones to meet the bad company.
Even with those addicted ones, we should make friendship and have a normal behaves. So, they may feel easy at home and at schools, too. Then it will be easy to solve this problem.

Nepal is my country. It is in the northern hemisphere. It has three geographical zones- Himalayan, Mountains and Terai. We have monsoon climate. It is very cold and dry in winter; and hot, stormy and rainy in summer. It is rich in natural beauty and resources. It has long and wide rivers like Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali. We have large lakes like Rupa, Begnas, Rara etc. Like-wise we have green valleys, lovely water falls etc. It is rich in religious and historical heritages. Lumbini, Gorkha, Janakpur, Kathmandu are the famous examples.
People of many castes and religions live here. About hundred languages are spoken. Our popular foods are dal bhat, dhindo, gundruk etc. Most people are farmers. They grow rice, corn, wheat, millet, barley, potato etc. Some people in the cities are businessmen. They are very labourious. Tourists love to visit our country. They can see endangered birds and animals here. They can see natural beauty, too. So, tourism is our potential industry. But because of our changeable political situation, many tourists are afraid to come here. Nowadays we have main problems of load shedding. They have aims always ready to destroy the dead habits to set up new system. They are always against injustice and exploitation. Their active participation in any project can give a good result. They are physically and mentally strong. They can learn any new techniques when they need. They can find out new idea for more and better production. They are farsighted for the improvement of the country and their society. They have aim. They have visions. They can fight against their enemies to save their country. They do not only bring money, but they also bring ideas to apply in their country. So we should give priority to the youths because they are the pillars of the country.

if i were a mayor
I’m now a bachelor student. So I’m careful in my study. And I always want to be someone who famous all over Nepal because of his/her good political works. But, I cannot be blind about social activities, too. When I’m going to college, I can’t reach college in time. The road is blocked with vehicles and goods for sale. I don’t know when I will fall into a drain. The roads have been so badly destroyed that in the rainy season there are small ponds and in the dry days we are lost in the dust.
So I think if I were the mayor the mayor of my municipality I’d do something to solve these problems. First of all I’d try to solve the traffic problem. For this, I would ask the traffic police to be strict. Together I would ask request the businessman to help clean the streets.
The next, I would give high priority to roads within my municipality. So the people would feel comfortable to go through the city. After doing these, I would then give high priority to electricity. So the students would feel no problem to study. The people would run their industries easily. Like this, I would do a lot of things if I were the mayor of my municipality.
